This past weekend, my girlfriend and I went to the Birmingham Auto Show in Alabama. It was mainly the 2000 model year cars that can be bought from the local dealerships. There were a few show cars like the new Thunderbird and the Chrysler Atlantic. At the Audi display, there was an A8, an A6 w/2.8 (hoping for 4.2), S4, and a TT.
The A8 was absolutely gorgeous. This will be my next Audi I think (if I can get past the window sticker). The black is beautiful. The A6 still doesn't really catch my eye that much but the brown metallic looked pretty nice. The TT was silver and as always, looked super sharp. Now the good stuff. The S4 (first in-person look at it). Imola Yellow, Onyx and Silver interior. I have never seen such a beautiful car. My girlfriend liked it as well and insists on that color for the S4. When you sat inside it, it felt luxurious. The seats were a little firm but supported you well. It also had the Bose system and the NAV system. One question I did have was where the NAV system displays. I did not see a screen anywhere that I felt could be big enough for a display.
I took plenty of pictures of all the Audis (or so I thought) and when we were leaving the show, I took a few more pics of other cars to finish off the roll and the film never rewound. It turned out that the film didn't latch so I lost all my pictures and we were outside before I realized that I had made that mistake. Neverless to say I am unhappy about it. I do however have a few pics of my Hib. Red A4 2.8QMS that will be developed here soon that should turn out. I will scan and post these for sure.
Later,
Greg
