I reserved a hotel in Harrisburg actually. Looks like it wasn't but 15 miles away, and the deciding factor was how close it was to a coffee shop. I need espresso like a meth addict needs... cream cheese and bagels.
Anybody else staying in the area? Or are all ya'lls camping....
Don't want to camp, reminds me of Iraq..... and dirt.... and scorpions... and oppresive heat....

Ive camped every year, it really is alot of fun, plus the camping site is pretty much on top of where we park our cars.
Im sure you have seen pictures of years past of people pitching tents :).
But I understand if a hotel is more comforting for you.
Think about camping though, if you are interested at all.

But seriously, there are closer hotels IN Carlisle that'd be more convenient than Harrisburg. Plus, just 2 miles from the campground there's a Dunkin Donuts, Panera Bread, etc. Not sure if there's an Sbux, but I'd imagine there is.
I'm being a big old slacker with the Carlisle stuff...I'll be making a post in January. :)

I have no clue about that stuff, and I didn't receive any emails from folks saying they did sign up...but I'll make a post soon saying to post up and to email me if they've registered. :)

Lots of alcohol, we know how to party (and there are many pictures to prove it).
Its not a drinking fest, just alot of fun when the sun goes down, and we are all very responsible. Except for the first year when Collin drove Russ and Tay's 90q across the fair grounds :D.

Camping here is 'WAY different than Iraq. No IED's, plenty of friendly folks who don't speak arabic, no barbed wire, and best of all... no sand storms!
You could get a nice air mattress for the tent and sleep well. Besides, by the time you get done with the festivities, you will be in no shape to drive to Harrisburg. Better to stay on the fairgrounds...IMHO.
