(If the long link doesn't work, just go to www.autotoys.com then choose Bulbs Upgrade/Replacement and look under "H7 Hiper White")
Just wondering if these are just another "SuperWhite" aftermarket bulbs that don't really improve the performance of the OEM bulbs.
Anyone tried these on the A4 already?
A friend of mine is getting these for a 96 Jetta (9004 Hiper White) for $20/pair.

PIAA superwhites and Jahn superblues have a very SLIGHT blue tint to make color whiter. This looks bad.

The blue die on those Hyperwhite bulbs looks too strong. It seems like those would dim the actual light output too much and create that cheesy blue look that you see all the Honda Civic drivers using. If you look at the Jahns when you get them, you'll notice that they have just a hint of blue. I like the Jahns, I have had them in my car for 3 months now with no burn-outs and no problems.
Also, the Jahns don't make a night and day difference, just like all the bulbs out there. The only way you are gonna get the Xenon HID performance is to actually buy Xenon HID units. Which I might do some day once the Audi part is readily available and I have $2,000 to spare.

I will take some pictures when I get the Jahn's installed then compare them with the HiperWhites my friend's getting.
I have seen the Jahn's on the new 323i and they do seem to look brighter to me - probably due to the almost-pure "white" light.
My only concern is whether they are suitable for driving in fog with the combination of foglights?

also,

I've tried 8 different sets of bulbs, in 3 housings, and i can say none are better then stock bulbs, except QUALITY overwattage clears.. Like Narva, Osram, Hella, etc....
