Alright guys... with a lot of praying and patience... i tried to start my car today.
as you all know ive been having cold start issues, and i decided to wire power directly to the valve, and not through the thermo switch (to diagnose if this is bad?) and so i wired a switch to the cold start valve with 12v.

Started cranking, and after a second i turned the switch on... car sputtered really quick and VROOM! started, then turned the switch off...

BOOYA
putting in a new thermo switch tomorrow.

:)
thank you jesus

Do some testing first:

See if the thermo time switch IS getting pwer from the starter when you are cranking.

Starter wires are known to corrode.. :-)

If you don't have power at the thermo time switch when cranking, replacing it won't help you out at all.

Gets back to:
One should do some troubleshooting and testing before replacing bits. Figure out a way to test things first, if possible. Just replacing bits becuase they 'might' be bad can be expensive and frustrating when a problem isn't solved.

GOod thing is, you've figured out that it's something to do with no cold start spray!

& a lot cheaper/easier to replace

I say ~12 volts, but it will probably be less, as the battery voltage drops a fair bit when cranking.

And note: You'll only SHOULD get voltage at the sensor when cranking, as the injector should never be sprayiing at any other time.

(Makes testing kind of hard though!)

Voltage fromt the starter when cranking should be on the sensor lead that DOESN't go to the cold start injector. See the diagrams I posted earlier, or look in your bently. :-)

No... THe corrosion may be on the starter wires.

THe starter wires have to be good, because the starter (when cranking) supplies the signal to the thermo time switch.

So... If bad wiring at the starter, no signal to thermo time switch, and no cold start injector spray.

Doesn't matter if you replace the thermo time switch, if it isn't getting the signal from the starter in the first place..
