Picked it up a Red 4000q yesterday.
The Good:
The body is in decent shape with a little bit of rust in the usual places, the eingine runs strong, no ticking or tapping, and the diffs still lock! New brakes, working sunroof, all power windows still working.
The Bad:
Hood pins! The previous owner put the car into a snowbank and bent the front cross member, he managed to pull it back into place, but the hood latch wasn't working properly so he simply installed hood pins. Suspension is pretty shot, shift housing pretty sloppy. No reverse lights, non-working power mirrors, and a melted light switch connector! I read up on some old posts about this problem. The parking lights, dash lights and tails all come on in the 1st postion on the switch, however when flicked to 2nd position it all cuts out except for the headlights. I have a connector from a parts car I picked up a little while back and I am going to try and install it to see if it fixes the problem. Anyone else had this problem? IS IT BAD to re-wire a new connector?

Anyhow work beigns on it today, I will be replacing a front CV joint and as soon as some parts arrive NEW SUSPENSION! H+R & BOGE! I will try and post some photos soon.

Relay time for the head AND parking lights. If you don't relay them, the switch or connector WILL melt again..

Take a look at Huw's page:
