Brought it into the Audi shop on Saturday, and one of the things they said they would do was to change the gearbox oil to a lighter weight. I keep you updated on when I get my car back.

L.S., if it is JUST 1st-2nd, I would doubt if bad/heavy oil is the case. If it was, I would think problem would be more generic. Haven't followed prev. posts, but I think unless you're in -40 Deg weather, this isn't the cause. ESPECIALLY true if it is still hard shifting after car warms up.
