to lube them up when you put them in?

I picked up a set of Delrin CA bushings that will have a zerk fitting in them so I can grease them if/when they squeak. Question is, what kinda grease do I use. My friend is telling me that some greases might eat the Delrin, so I want ot be sure before I destroy them.

Project 4000 is going to go under the knife yet again this weekend. Gonna tear down the control arms so I can press the bearings out on monday at work, and R&R the dead cv boot on the passengers side. I also ordered some new slides for the seat slide mounted to the floor pan from the dealer, so hopefully I can get the interior back together. Also replaced the drivers side rear door handle (thanks MAX!!! your 4k lives on!). All i need to do is grease the latch mechanisms and this puppy is about ready (and get tires and an alignment). Also have one more panel to get the pin stripe off of... funnnn times.

I have them on both my CGT & 4KCSQ and find MMO keeps them quiet for 12-18 months at a stretch. Doesn't take much either. I just coat them with eyedropper full on each corner.

I bought the anti sieze when I assembled my engine.
I pressure wash the under side of my car about twice a year, I have to be carful not to spray the bushings and dry them out!

I'll make sure to give them a hefty coating installing them... and as luck would have it, I have a brand new bottle in the A4 ready to go :)

they now clunk when accelerating or braking. They worked like a charm for a month driving around town and then untill the very last part of a trip to Florida and back (from Cali). I believe the downpipe (tight fit turbo DP) has heated up the subframe enough to melt the bushings, perhaps while I was cruising in boost on the long highway stretches across texas.
Unless you've already done it, I'd suggest replacing all of your suspension bushings and ball joints to get rid of rattles...anti-sway bar hardware & bushings...loose strut cartridge (screw-on) caps and worn strut bearings/bushings can also cause rattles.

Yep mine do the same. And its sporadic too. Sometimes more when its cold, sometimes more when its warm.

Your downpipe thought has some merit, as when Ive inpsected mine, it seems only the passenger side aft one is moving.

Ive replaced EVERY bit of the front end suspension and am left with the clunking.

Ive been meaning to call Blau to see if they have a solution, havent got around to it.

Thanks, Misery loves company..LOL

Aside from an annual lube they are quiet.
