I found an 84 Coupe GT for sale and was considering buying it. I have no clue what kinds of mods are available for the stock 2.2L I also want to know what the fair price for it would be seeing that is has some rust above the wheel wells, a nice sized tear in the drivers seat, tires that will barely pass inspection, and 133,000 miles.
I am going to look at it on wednesday with a friend of mine who is an inspection mechanic and who also works on trannies just to get his opinion. They are asking 600 bucks, so hopefully i can get it for a little less.

If there is anything I should look for in particular, it would greatly helpful along with any information on the potential for the motor and links to good sites for parts.

Thanks in advance,
Nathan

P.S. Sorry if this information has been covered on the forum before, but with work and other things, i dont have too much time for research.

Thanks again.

'84 has the newer style electrics & spoiler, w/o having the crappy 4x108 bolt pattern (harder to find rims).
The interior conditon shouldn't matter much, as most have upgraded to a '85-'87 interior (more rounded dash, nicer pattern on seats/panels).

If you have any more specific question, feel free to ask.

link to duandcc's FAQ

1. Since we're talking about an '84 CGT the euro bumpers will fit (see DDGs car). 85+ would be problematic though in this regards.

2. 4K & CGT do have different window regulators, but can be modded to work in either application (BTDT)

3. There is a cold air intake available for CIS, it's rare but there has been a few for sale on Ebay recently (I even posted the link here once before)
