The FAQ on A4.org doesn't cover the Concert or Symphony radio, but there are a bunch of posts in the archives about it. The manual (at least for my 99.5) is basically useless. You can set GALA from GALA 0 (off) to GALA 5. The number is the number of dB increased at terminal (highway, more or less speeds) With GALA 5, then, you get a 5 dB increase from 0 to about 55 mph, more or less one dB about every 12 mph or so. Lower GALA numbers change the output proportionally. Since in most cars there's about a 20 dB difference between idle and highway cruising, you won't really notice GALA getting louder. You will notice it getting softer when you slow down quickly. This is especially nice if you've been playing the stereo loud while cruising; it won't then blast you at a stoplight or sign.
