Now we need details:

1) Price
2) Condition
3) Colour of the dark one?
4) Your confession that despite owning two, neither will ever be as good as Blake's or mine.

Email me and let me know how much you would want to let them go for...

Or is that even possible?

just a little rust peeking thru the rear arches and it has a little valve tick. ODO reads 189K but I assume it's higher. Not sure what I paid for each because I bought some rims and parts etc.

While others on the forum likely think that I am ("blindly and obstinately attached to some creed or opinion and intolerant toward others")...

I'd hope everyone sees this as the jokes that it is...and we're not.

Superior, probably...but bigoted, I think not.

probably means he paid more then $500 for the '85...which elimiates it from the competition.

The black 87, however, I think might still qualify.

until you do they are almost a must. You may want to run that wiring through your grill instead of around your turn signal though :)

This is a rally guy who's FANTASTIC.

You two just kill me! Must be those tought day jobs..

Say.. How about another 'measure of worth'?

How about topping each other on how long a trip that you would dare take your car on? (Then actually driving it!)

Dave'll wager that he can get to work (and back again).

Blake may wager he can use his to 'get away' to go all the way across town and back.

Dave can then up the ante by wagering that he can drive all the way to Hamilton and back (in one day).

Then Blake will massivly top Dave by betting on a sucessful 'overnight trip'.

Will they ever get as high as wagering a 1000km trip?

We wonder....!

The turbo car might be some competition, but you dont have any mismatched panels on either of your cars, so I think you instantly are eliminated.

But the other part is that I'm really too lazy to make new mounts to mount the set of hella 500's I got for the 4kq.

Price? Don't ask...it was a personal favour :P

I checked my metal scrap bin, and THOUGHT I had some aluminum angle iron, but I'm out. So, I either go buy $15 in aluminium to mount the lights...or swap over the rally lights for free.

I'm now driving outside of the city at night a lot...almost spoked a mailbox the other night (it was overhanging the road) because the stock lights suck so much.

you are definitely eliminated.

We're all riders, so we know what XT is worth.

Post it up chump!

I was SOOOO going to post that it was just a matter of time before you jumped in!

I do 1000km per week in my car, though not all in a single trip.

I will wager, however, that with nothing but an oil-change I could drive the 4kq to waterfest and back...stopping in NYC just for the hell of it. I figure that's a good 900km there, and 850km back.

:P

-Dave

P.S. what's the furthest you're willing to risk the white 4kq Frank? The Urq?

I think we should attach a 'value' to the black car and start from there...

$200? Blake?

He said it needs some work...so we should maybe give him some leeway?

thats gotta count for something.....right? She also told me I should buy a big turbo for the A4 before we have kids.

there was no doubt in my mind about doing it either. Dave and I should me half way with our beaters and then have a destruction derby with them and see who's lasts the longest.

Well...

The white car I'd take on pretty well any trip.
(I think the longest trip I took it on was to North Carolina and back. And I did that trip a few times!)

The urq? Ha! I *still* don't trust it. I always feel like something is going to let go. Longest trip in it was the 18 hour *adventure* driving it back from Baie! (Having NO idea of it's history!)
Next to that was ther drive to last year's UPG in Conneticut. Lost an alternator bolt on the way home, so no belt tension..

Then, a few weeks ago, the head gasket let loose. And the oil cooler lines are starting to leak a bit. A sign of possible impending doom, if that lets go.

The two cars are like the two kinds of women:

The fast & exciting kind you want for a hot date (the urq)..

Then the kind of woman that you'd pick to be the mother of your children (The solid and dependable white 4kq).

Make sense?
