There are now 6 of us looking for Curt Redl and the $2,100 he owes us.
His e-mail address is gone, his web site is down.
His family doesn't know where he is and offer very little info when you do manage to get them on the phone.
Neighbours have reported seeing moving trucks in front of his place a few weeks back and there is a "for sale" sign on the lawn.
There may be a valid excuse for all of this, but we're hard pressed to think of one.

when in fact your situation is far worse than you put across to others.
This may be what's happened to Curt. I've got to say this is all very sudded. Curt and I had been exchanging email in a regular fashion for a while...rather windy (long) ones back and forth with nary more than a day or two between. But I fired him one about MAP sensors and some other stuff and became somewhat suspicious when he didn't reply promptly. Anyhow I got a hold of him eventually and all seemed normal again...but I could discern from his text that he was kinda stressin.

...it is possible that Curt had it all together, but something went wrong (financial or otherwise), that caused this. I'm a believer in "innocent until proven guilty," and hope that others here will be understanding. I know I would be upset if I lost my money, but there's always the possibility that Curt has a much bigger problem than anyone who's lost their money. I don't know if that makes sense, but it's something to think about. So, for everyone who's lost money, consider what Curt may be going through. Don't give up on your search, but try and keep a level and understanding head! It may not be his intention to screw anyone. people in trouble will often do things they would not normally do. I have bought a few things through this board, with nothing but success.
I also had conversations with Curt, and he seemed like a stand up guy.
But some of the data just doesn't add up, and my empty pocket book is screaming at me.
