I went to Rockingham's 1/4 mile last night, and did a few runs to see how she'd run now with 30k on the odometer, a full tank of gas, and my stereo system installed..
As a side note, I would have taken home the import trophy, if I had not red-lighted in the semi-finals with a .499 reaction time!!! AARGH!!
Anyway, best 60' was 2.036, 1/8th mile 9.67 @71.64, with the 1/4 mile coming in at 15.337 @ 89.49 mph. Suprisingly, I was quite consistent in my times, varying by only .2 in the 1/4...
Rockingham seems to be a slow track to me, since my friend's MKIV Supra only ran a 14.1 stock, when he has run mid 13's everywhere else...
I did arrive with a 1/2 tank of 93 octane, and topped off with 112, so I guess I'm up to about 109 octane effectively.. It's great driving it with that gas.. there is no hesitation as it pulls across the band from the knock sensor retarding the timing.... Neat feeling...like a V-8 almost...
FYI, I have a Hoppen/MTM chip, Remus rear muff, and a bypassed resonater, with a K&N panel filter. I'd guess and say the car's weight with me in it was about 3450 pounds....
Rich Quinlan
Nowhere near stock 1.8tqms

Quinland

Those 1/4 times seem slow after all the mods you have done to the car! I wonder how slow my stock 1.8TQM is on 1/4?
Oscar

Only 3450 lbs with all the stuff you've added to your car? Sounds a little low.
Added weight you have what...
- body kit
- those nice subs in your trunk
- all the equipment to run those subs
- anything else?
When you ran the 15.00 run way back when did you have all your current goodies?
