I got this connector from a junk car - it's close but not an exact match for what is in my 83 cgt. It snaps on to the thermo time switch (at rear of block). Mine doesn't have this 90 degree bend. Also mine has wires colored red and red with blue stripe coming out. Ask the dealer for one of these and get a blank stare. This one pictured has part #s on it. White plastic section is part is 025 906 231 black rubbery tail is 443 (maybe 449) 972 525 (maybe 526). Two part #s - can these be seperated by pulling? Any ideas how to acquire and order the correct par# for my car? The plastic section on my car is more red or brown - not white.

Why not use this one? I guess I don't understand what your goal is.
Yes, the metal connectors inside can be pushed out from the inside towards the boot. Use a dental pick type tool, or a very thin blade jeweler's screwdriver to depress the lock tab while you pull on the wire.

I'd like to be better at poking around ETKA. I did get into a section of my ETKA version 5 which was just about electrical connectors. If I can get a new part from the dealer I'll be happier.
I'm not really sure this will fit properly on the thermo time switch - This is all in a tough spot buried under the battery tray - behind the distributor - , lots of wire looms, vacumn lines so I want to be fully prepared before jumping in.
I'll have to see if I can get the part#s off what's in the car.
