Does any company make yellow H1 bulbs. When ever I drive around I get flashed because people think that my high beams are on when its just my H1's. I figure that I should just put in some yellow H1's so that people will leave me alone. Can anyone help?

How about wiring the H1's up so they are only on with the hi-beams?
Those H1's are driving lights. I would flash, too. They should supplement your high beams. They're not like fog lights and shoot straight ahead.

i thought the pattern for H1's is all over the place, hence why it is a highbeam. H4 is low. what kind of headlights do you have that you are constantly driving with H1's?

for a litle extra light out here in the desert. I actually have them wired into my parking lights. I am trying to figure out how to wire the H1's to my factory fog light switch but I don't know which wire goes where on the back of the switch. Do any of you guys and gals know?

The parking light circuitry is most certainly not capable of handing the current being drawn by H1 bulbs... Relay them and the will be much brighter and you wont burn your wiring.

If you have the lights aimed "way down" you're not getting any advantage from them.
H1's are for use with the high beams. Rewire them, ESPECIALLY since the way you have them now is a recipe for melted wiring.

Here's the link to their aiming instructions. Just did mine the other night and what a nice difference. I'm still using the stock bulb wattages and I'm very happy with the light pattern and output.

http://www.danielsternlighting.com/tech/aim/aim.html</a

I found a building that had a grid-like block wall pattern. Made for the perfect aiming surface.
Now when I hit the highbeams, with the H1's dialed in, I get a nice long reach down the road. Just fantastic......especially when compared to the DOT's!
