..I opened the sunroof last night, and now it won't shut. Fuse is good, now what? Press the button and nothing happens, and I can't hear anything as well.
The alternator belt turned into a 4 hour evolution. The PO had the alignment all buggered up so I had to take the entire bracket off the block of the '87 and the '82 junker and basically make 1 out of 2. Everthing is all lined up now and charging away at 13.9-14 volts.

If you take the cover off of the motor, you will see an allen wrench and an allen screw that you can use to turn the motor by hand to shut it.

Very common, gona through 2 already and my sunroof only tilts up. Try the motor out of your newly acquired 4kq and see if it works, if not then maybe check wiring.

I used to like them, until I tried to align mine one day, and it scratched the nice, new paint on one side of the roof. I cannot get it aligned correctly to save my life!
But yeah, as gmbchef said, there is an allen key in the motor cover.

I tried the sunroof tonight and it shut no problem. AS4k, I hear you. I doubt if I'll ever open it again!!!

Actually, it was the 4kq that the sunroof stuck on. My silver 82 does not have one, while the red 82 has a manual slider. Thanks for the tips all the same.
