So here I am, paid my $15 for the show and admission for 2. Now I spoke with Andrew and he said that people are camping. AS4K, Evil, and some others. Where are all you guys camping so I can at least be on the same grounds as you guys and throw some beers back together.
Also, has anyone organized the trip over from the east coast? We should all meet up together on the way and go as a group perhaps. What do you think, meet at Rest Area's on the way or something, be at certain ones at a distinct time, wait 5 mins at each one and then continue on the way. I dunno, i've seen it work before.
Let me know!

not sure if I'm leaving Friday or Saturday night. Definately would be cool to meet up with some people along the way. Especially if one of our cars breaks down, it will be nice to have a helping hand!

Be glad to hook up w/ some of ya if U want. To convoy it in to the area.... We could use some walkie-talkies set to the same channell to communicate along the way....
You want to designate a spot somewhere and a time to meet and convoy it in?
maybe we could exchange phone #'s or something to better organize things. That way if we are on the road we can communicate with eachoter on where to meet up or in case someone gets lost. Anyone else have Nextel with direct connect walkie talkie.
Also, is the first person there going to be able to get the tent setup or who is responsible for that? I know we signed up as a club, but can anyone from the club get things going or do we have to wait.
What I'm bringing. I'm gonna bring some Hamburger and hot dogs buns, couple bags of chips and maybe some other stuff. Anyone have a guess as to how many of us will be there for the BBQ. We have 27 cars registered, but how many peeps will be there? I'd like to get a guestimate on how much I should buy.

I think duandcc is right that they'll take care of the tent set up. When you get there and flash you little card you go in the mail at the Registration Building, they'll tell you where to park on the showfield.
As for bringing goodies...we'll make a post closer to the time as to who's bringing what and #'s. We've got 28 cars registered now (1981audi4k4e just jumped in!), so I'm not sure what that means for numbers, as some are bringing passengers. To better gauge, we'll just do a post in a week or two see how many are going to be there. We can see how much food to bring, etc.
I emailed NeilM and Jason Teller about getting an AW banner. I'll let you know when I hear something. I have a bigass Audi Sport flag that's like 4x5 or something. I can bring that if nothing else.

Remember, this list is almost 2 months ago, I'm sure more clubs (like ours) have reserved a tent since that date. I'll respond to this email the lady sent me and ask for an updated list.
Also, I think our freebie is 20 x 20. I don't know WTF is up with the 20 x 30, but I'd wager they had to pay something additional.

One of my best friends in the whole world is getting her doctorate that Friday morn; ceremony starts @ 1000 @ U of M in Laurel, MD [north side of the beltway around DC]. We were planning to depart to go to Carlisle after taking a lunch w/ them, probly no later that 1300.
Does meeting you around 1330 work for you? I think that time will work for us... but also will need to plan this closer as time gets close for the trip.
I've got a set of walkie-talkies we could use, if it works out to hook up.

Could you imagine.......
Sorry, but I must regretfully decline. I rather have my 4KQ...........actually..........I'll take one, WTF.
There going to be a catch though, we would have to give up our 4000. They want them all back. Its a conspiracy, they are the best built Audis and they want to get them all back so the can relearn how to build cars.
Sorry, my imagination sometimes runs wild.

I think Route 15 goes straight from DC/Frederick, MD into Carlisle (it's been a while since I've gone that way)!
Powerkraut is coming from PA (Ebensburg) I think. Don't know what day he's heading out either. Quattro4Life and a few others of us are heading there from Pittsburgh. If we were leaving Friday, we'd meet up with you...but you'll already be there part-swapping and boozing! But I'm planning on hitting the road Saturday at like 5 or 6am to get there by 8 or 9am. :)

With the 10vt, the 90q W/272 & Borla + the Jag Im gonna be dragging ass. I don't think my 8mm wires are gonna give me enough power to keep up. At least we'll have our own lil convey, maybe on the way home it will be larger. Gonna try some cosmetic things this weekend, try to set my audi apart a lil. Just wanna fast fwd a few weeks and get to the show. No truck, we got a charcoal grill that will tear down, I'll through it in the back of the Q. We'll just have to eat in rotation.

i'll come out there and stay in allison park friday nite and just follow your group. 2 of my brothers are driving up from fairfax, va area and if anyone needs the directions just ask. i'm bringing cups, and i'll probly throw some water and pop in a cooler just in case. my only issue is, i'm not sure if either of my audis will make it :( and the cobra replica is becoming a nightmare... the trans am might not be finished... so if anyone in pittsburgh wanted to take 2 cars, i'm insured and bondable! -illig

Since a few folks from the Mid West are planning on stopping here Friday evening, I plan on leaving at the asscrack of dawn on Saturday morning...like 5 or 6 (to put us to Carlisle at 8 or 9). I haven't talked to Quattro4Life, who's bringing his CQ to the event...but I can email him later. If your cars aren't up to running, I'm sure you could ride with someone. Scott and I are going Saturday and coming back to Pgh Saturday night. The Mid West crew is camping Saturday night and coming back through Sunday. I'm sure you could hitch a ride back with them Sunday if you wanted to stay longer. Up to you. As for leaving together, that's a plan. To save some Turn Pike toll, I was going to get on the Pike at Moneroeville/Pittsburgh (exit 6) instead of Allison Park/Butler (exit 4), but we can figure something out. If your car is running, maybe you could drive down here (10 minutes from Alison Park) and we'll caravan. Or, if it's not running and you needed to hitch a ride, we'll just grab you and get on the Pike at your exit. I don't plan on taking my other car...that's only if my 4kq doesn't pass inspection the weekend before! ;) No problems...

Ordered a 1/2 keg of the just-out Maibock Lager. I'll be bringing along this to Carsilse. Is the BBQ gonna happen?
Also, am gonna go by the Audi dealership here in Greensboro and ask for the loan of a flag and whatever else they are willing to give us for the trip/event. I'll do this tomorrow.

i'll probly just take the acura down... but i think towards the event i'll give some of your group my cell number, and if i plan right i'll meet you at one of the rest stops or catch you as you drive by. i guess i'll drive to bedford as usual for my tpke access. i just feel really bad because my 87 crapped out on me as usual, and the 85 is gona need some work that i dont know if i can complete within a month. hopefully something will go right. thanks for your time' -tim

(my hometown...:) instead of Moneroeville and we're all on the same travel course/time, we could possibly meet up at the rest stop immediately after the Bedford exit. So as soon as you get on, you'll see a rest stop w/in a mile. If you're coming from Ebensburg, it would take you what, an hour to get there? I could call you around Somerset when we're an hour away and then meet at Bedford. We can figure something out! :)
