I have a 96 A4 2.8 Quattro. The standard 3 years manufacturer warranty will be due in December.<p>The dealer sells a "Totalcare" extended warranty package that will cover vehicle's engine, transmission, fuel system, etc. for another 4 years (up to 100,000 total miles). They ask for $2100 for the extended warranty.<p>I am interested in your opinion on purchasing this particular and any form of extended warranty on A4. Thanks in advance for your comments.<br>

Sounds expensive: check all exclusions, what's not covered? Who's backing the contract? Many of the 'warranty' companies are thinly capitalized and may not be there later when you need them...
