I took the thing on the freeway, drove REAL HARD all around, could not get the oil temp to go over 220°
Usualy when I get off the freeway I get a temp spike up to about 250°, no more! temp was SUPER stable!
I also put Castrol synthetic 15w-50w in for the 1st time, I could feel the "slipperyness" of the new oil, I got on the freeway and SCREAMED through the 1st. three gears to 6,500.. OOOOOPS!!! I'm doing 85mph (still in 3rd)!!!
I better slow down (and shift into 5th.)!
Unfortunatley, I don't have a camera, so I can't post pics (I'll try to take some soon).
I mounted a braket onto the A.C./snub mount braket (see red circle in pic).
I loosend the oil lines and turned them so the cooler would fit into the area better, I also put a new gasket where the oil cooler adapter bolts to the block.
I can't tell you how easy this was... the only problem is you have to remove the A.C. compressor!!!
