well I'm totally pissed at my car...I hate it in it's present form.
teh drivers door needs to be slamed now to close, teh car is still missfiring when in between cold and warm, teh suspension is shot and my cooling system needs an refreshment.....
I've bought a serious money pit.
and did I mention I'm not a real big fan of CIS-E
lol

anyways I've decided to plan a decent swap:
what I"d like is a nice 5cyl 20 valve motor in there running a full efi set up rather then teh cis system thats in there now, with a completely replaced cooling system.

does anyone here done a EFI conversion on a 10valve motor?
or 20valve swap?
I don't want a turbo for mainly cost aspects and fuelmileage reasons....

the motor I can get sheap(like $500>less cdn)
but will likly have to rebuild or refresh it
teh rest is where you teh board come in...:-)
just need help on where to start.
I'd like to run teh 034efi system but don't know even where to start with that...
ANY help is appreciated
this is only in teh PLANNING stages so far
thanks again for you help!!!

any old car is going to be a money pit, until you can get all the kinks out of it... for at least 2 years my car constantly had a problem. whether it was stalling, not starting, pulling, buzzing, leaking, etc... once i fixed one thing, something else would go wrong, or something else got worse.

she still has probs every now and then but only after i dumped a bunch of cash in her. just have to make a decision about the car and keeping it.

an engine swap will bring up many more problems and wont fix non-engine related problems (suspension, drivers door). also it will cost more than to just fix your current setup... patience is key.

good luck

once you get it fixed and all setup right, CIS is very reliable. not the best for getting gobs of power, but for anything up to around 220, CIS is great...

I agree. Even though my wife doesnt like my coupe, because i am constantly fixing something, I like the car. I know that it is going to take some work to get it to the point I want. But is all a matter of dollars and cents.

Besides, if we wanted a car that wasnt a challenge, and was reliable all the time, we would all be in debt and driving brand new cars.

you just need to be patient with it and giving it loving caressing care.
