I hope nobody has had as bad luck with their A4 as I have had this week...
Discovered a nail in my tire on Thursday so I brought it into a tire shop to have the nail removed and the tire patched. The serviceman told me the tire couldn't be repaired because they were worn so badly on the inside of both front tires...the steelbelt was protruding through the rubber. I brought my car to where I bought the aftermarket rims and tires and they discovered I had bent my front driverside wheel, so to add insult to injury I had to replace a wheel as well as the two tires.
My bad luck does not end there...today (three days after purchasing the tires I discovered a bolt in my front driver side tire (Brand New)...I called the shop and they were closed. I decided to take my car to the first tire shop I could find to repair the new tire. While in route to the tire store the bolt came loose and my tire went completely flat. I was able to fill it with air and make it to a tire shop...unfortunately the tire is beyond repair. #&$%^@!!!!!!!
I think I am S.O.L. Anybody have any advice as to how I should approach the tire shop about replacing the tire?
Noel
98 Silver A4Q
