it to brake, will it come back to normal or do I need to replace some thing?

Does the pedal sink to the floor and the car not stop? More info could be helpful too. Try coasting, then pushing the pedal down all the way, then lift up, and repeat. Could be a master cylinder problem, have you also checked your brake fluid?

when that happened to me it was rusted through brake lines...

What year is the 4k and how much do you want for it, you have to imagine cheap for some is expensive for others.. heheheh.... DO you want to know of my definition of cheap is?? hehehehe..... I sort of kind of doubt it. I'm the cheapest SOB this side of the rockies. I got my 86 Audi 4KQ for free and even then I'm starting to think I paid too much for it after it cost me over $1k in parts to get it back to a very nice car. BTW, where is the Audi located?

Darn, I live on the other side of the U.S in Washington state. Oh well, I would love to get another audi but it's too far for me.
