I've been following this excellent board as I impatiently waited for my A4 I ordered through CarOrder.Com

I am in Portland, OR, but will try to get up to Seattle Saturday to pick up the car. Silver/Onyx w/ all options. I guess I have to wait for the navigation CD so I can't play with that on the way home :(.

My experience so far with CarOrder has been great! I'll post again once I actually have the car, but they have been very responsive throughout the entire process and are picking up a substantial portion of the price. They offered to truck it down to Portland, but I don't think I want to wait...

If all goes well I'll be in the drivers seat my noon tomorrow. I'm still somewhat skeptical but I'll know soon enough if carorder delivers.

It would be interesting to know why CarOrder.com chose to order your A4 from University VW/Audi/Subaru while their initial dealer of choice was Robert Larson Audi in Tacoma for my A6 purchase. University Audi would have been much closer to me (I live north of Seattle), and Robert Larson Audi is at least 1 hour closer to you.

By the way, did you ask for the limo service? That's last fun part...

CarOrder provides limo service. Do you think they would give me a limo ride all the way to Seattle? I don't think I could pass that up!

I also ordered from CarOrder (one of the last ones to get in on the 99 invoice price!), and am in Portland, and am getting the car from University in Seattle. Interesting that none of the dealers here in OR. are participating with CarOrder huh? I've had generally good interactions with CarOrder, but they did just recently tell me the car was going to be coming about 3-4 wks. later than originally anticipated. Did yours arrive earlier, later, or on-schedule with the original ETA?
Thanks and enjoy!

If CarOrder.com has already offered you to deliver the car by a flatbed truck, I'm pretty sure that you can trade it for a limo ride. It probably costs them less to give you a limo ride than a flatbed.

They usually don't offer the limo unless you ask. I tried not to be too demanding when asking my rep, the words I used are something like: "I've heard that you can arrange a transportation to the dealer if I choose to pick up my car. Can you do the same for me?" The rep asked my how far I live from the dealer, I told her about 60 miles, and then she went away to ask her supervisor, and said no problem, we can send you a town car. Yeah, I didn't get a real "limo", but a town car was enough for me so I didn't complain.

I think the reason she asked me for the distance was because they give the limo ride for those who live farther than a certain distance (I've heard 50 miles), not near. There is a guy on Edmunds Town Hall conference who is picking up a SUV purchased thru CarOrder, and he is going on a 2+ hour limo ride to a dealer in a different state (I think NJ). Portland - Seattle is only about 170 miles, so I think you'll get one if you ask.

Well it looks like I have to wait a few more days. I was all set to go pick up the car and I thought I should double check the amount the Dealer was expecting. Sure enough, there was a difference between my CarOrder price and the dealer price. Anyway, I am confident CarOrder will make up the difference, (it was due to the 99-00 difference, 200 or so). So now it looks like I'll get it later this week.

I ordered in August, but ordered one that was already built and on it's way.

Let me know how your delivery goes....
