For any of you who live in the Seattle,WA. area there is a junked '84 4000q with one surviving left H4 headlight. It has some minor abrasion but looks good. I have a later model car so i cant use it but i dont want to see it crushed with the rest of the car.
Its at a yard called Absolute German, they should be in the phone book. They will probably give a pretty good deal on it.

& one was missing a front end.
I even mentioned the year & model U posted, but they say they have nothing before '86.
Any chance next time U go, U can get me more info?
Or even grab it if it's a flat front H4 driver side w/ signal (prefer w/ but w/o is Ok) that's dirt cheap & I'll buy from U when I get down to that are for the Burien meet (June 21st )
thanks in advance
it should still be there. They've got so many cars they probably forgot about it. Call back and ask if the red '84 4kq is still there on the north side of the lot. It was on the top stack, near the V8q, kinda obscured by a vanagon.
I'm down there pretty often, how much are you willing to pay for it? I can grab it and bring it to the pizza feed.

I need to make sure they also have the turn signal lens intact also.
U know how some wreckers are dirt cheap on anything & everything while others are trying to make their whole retirement fund of U'r 1 purchase, which category do these guys fall into?
I only need drivers side setup, but I would like the harnesses & realy setup (if the guy had that), to make my wiring easier.

If they didn't even know they had the car there, maybe it will go cheap. I don't want to call anymore or they will hike up the price if they know someone's calling long distance about a headlight. Are they a high volume yard? meaning, would this likely be sold by the time of the pizza party? has it been there long? If so, I've waited 5 yrs so far because I'm in no rush to pay a high price for a used headlight assembly.
Maybe there could be a mini meet before the pizza party at this wrecker with the fellow Canadians I'll be caravaning down with!?!?! U locals couls show us the wrecking yards for cheap parts & we'll return the favor if any of U come up for the meetup in Vancouver, BC on June 28th .
To sign up, just go to the drop down menu, select Canada, then Vancouver.
Also if any of U guys are interested, I'll be bring down some custom embroidered items (hats, t-shirts, etc) with VW & Audi logo's on them. There's more info here, click me . Just email me ASAP if interested in anything, as I'll need to get it the orders in so they'll be finished by the time I leave to come down that way.
If it's under $25(usd) and the marker is ok should I just get it for ya?
They're a fairly high volume operation but mostly in newer stuff. With New Beetles and A4's in stock I'm not suprised they forgot that particular car, it's been there for a few months now. Pricing varies by part, weather you pull it or they do, and who you ask.

go throught the trouble of pulling it. I can always do it when I go for the pizza party, plus that would give me a chance to see how it mounts in case I have any troubles when I swap out my quad setup in my '84.
If U have extra time when your there next & U see someone heading for it, then sure, pull it & I'll repay you on the 21st. If U thnk it I'll be there till the pizza party, that's fine too as I wouldn't mind looking over the yard to see if there's some other parts I might want.
