I just purchased an 84' 5k turbo for dirt cheap and plan to swap the engine into my CGT.

What am I looking at here? Difficult?

Thats a KH right? What the difference between it and an MC?

How much hp does it make?

Any body got any wiring diagrams?

Anything would be helpful.........

The KH lacks many of the "upgrades" that the MC has:

1. Knock sensors, 1 on MC1, 2 on MC2.
2. KH has an air cooled, oil lubed turbo.
3. MCs have sodium filled valves (better cooling)
4. MCs have oil squirters to cool the pistons.

As for as help with the install...sorry, never done one...

doesn't it also lack a intercooler?

I think I found the hp to be 140 and the torque to be 148, is this right?

your ratings are correct, but I believe they had an intercooler.

The MC2 sounds better than the MC1, but I'll take either one of them for my swap.

KH has only an oil cooled turbo.

MC1 has oil and liquid cooled turbo.

Both KH and MC1/MC2 have intercoolers.

Bentley say KH makes 135 hp and 140 lbs tq.

MC1 & MC2 both make 162 hp and 177 lbs tq.

KH & MC both have single knock sensor. MC2 has dual knock sensors.

KH engine has a higher compression than MC1 engine. KH 8:3 MC 7:8:1 MC2 8:3:1

KH displacement is 2.1 liters. MC1&2 is 2.2 liters...
