Is there a point to keeping the old, stock exhaust after upgrading? I've only had my car for 4 months so the exhaust is fairly new... so I'd feel kinda bad just having them dispose of it, but then again, I don't know where I'd keep it in my apartment (my summer tires are already taking up a too much space! ;)

one thing to consider.. it's very difficult to put the exhaust in your car to bring it back to your apt or wherever.. when I saw how long the exhaust was I didn't even bother to try to put it in my car.

Then again, how did you bring the exhaust that you wanted installed?

The stock exhaust on my 1.8T was extremely long and I don't think it would have fit in my car without cutting it into two pieces. So I opted to have my installed dispose of it for me. It would probably just collect dust in my basement or garage as I can't picture every reinstalling it except if I sell the car. It would be nice to be able to return the car to stock if the buyer didn't like the exhaust. Something to consider...

My Borla exhaust came to me in the mail in (if I remember correctly) three sections which easily fit into the trunk of my A4 with the seats folded down. The stock exhaust removed from my A4 would not have fit without cutting it into two (possibly three) sections.

My garage is already full of three sets of wheels/tires, shocks/springs, brake pads, corner/side markers, etc. Now I'm going to start upgrading my Z3! 8^)
