While I was at the dealer today picking my car up from my 15K service a post by a fellow orger came to mind. He had mentioned an interest in getting the wheel well liner from an S4 because it has ventilation for the intercooler. Hopefully the end result is that the intercooler will get more air across it as a result of lower backpressure afforded by the openings.
Anyhow here is the part number the tech gave me and the price...I ordered one and should have it in a week or so. I'll take some pictures and report back on the results later.
Part Number 8D0-821-171G S4 (I'm not sure S4 was part of the number...hard to tell with the way he wrote it down)
Price approx $30.00 US (Not too shabby considering the dubious gains acheived from using say an MTM intercooler duct $$$ as opposed to this kind of mod, not to mention a factory fit.)
Regards,
James R.
99 1.8TMS (Neuspeed K04, K&N Filter, Remus Exhaust, Neuspeed Sport Springs, Neuspeed Front Anti Sway, Bilstein Sport Shocks, Brembo Rotors, Mintex Red Box, Ronal R28's 17", Euro Corners, Clear Sides, Full Tint...and some other stuff I probably forgot)
