Well, the time has finally come for me to get rid of one of my AWD Talons and get a sedan. The local dealer has 3 98's that they're trying to get rid of and are willing to discount by about 5 grand. The problem is, none of them have the optional sport suspension. The one I'm considering is a silver 2.8 A4 Quattro, 5 speed. Anyone driven both the normal susp. and sport susp. versions? Any opinions on the difference? TIA.
Dennis.

The suspension will only cost from $700 - $1500 depending upon what you do. But you will still save a ton on the car. The bad part is loosing the sport steering wheel. I didn't get it and really wish I had it. The 99 2.8 are usually only $500 - 1500 off MSRP. That is your gauge. Of course, this is only my opinion.
Steve S.
97 2.8QM

Oddly enough, it does have the sport steering wheel, but I double checked earlier this evening, and it does not have the suspension. BTW, I'm in Canada, so that's 5K off a CDN price...still comes out to $38K before tax.

At that price, I'd get the stock suspension. As much as I like the crisper handling of the sport suspension, the smoother ride of the stock would probably make me feel pretty good with that price. And on the 2.8 you already get the 16" wheels. Good luck.
Tom
1.8TQMS Silver/Ecru
