ok, I spent some time going thru the electrical on my quantum 5 banger. I changed the oil in it a week ago, and after it wouldn't start. let is set for a week,(didn't need it due to my recent involvement with a ford ranger and my Jeep)(I'm driving a rental)(not my fault) so Sunday I went to fire her up and nothing. No spark. went to get a friends spark tester just before I hooked it up still no spark(didn't expect any). Hooked up the tester and saw a very faint blue spark barley could see it. did that twice. turned it over again an saw a very bright orange/white spark and the car would have started if I let it. Un hooked the tester and fired right up.
SO I tested my coil and found that the primary resistance was something like 1.1 ohms and the secondary resistance was 3500 ohms. according to Chiltons manual My primary should be between .52 and .76 or something to that effect.
question is would that cause my not wanting to start spraticaly?
