My 85 Coupe GT has the trip computer option which doesnt work,, Ive been searching for a replacement and havent found one.. Ive gotten desperate enough to buy one from an 87 5000 on e-bay which looks similar but Im doubting it will work. In my opinion this gadget is part of the car that separates it from others like it ( these cars are well equipped) and I want it to work.

I know most enthusiasts frown on such features nor care if they dont function anymore, but I do and need some help getting it to function. I need to either get this 5000 computer to work in it or find a 4000/CoupeGT instrument cluster with one installed that works..

This is the only forum for Coupe GT's I could find that is active and thriving,, please help

Are you looking for just the dash unit or is there a seperate computer that runs the dash display?

Friend of mine has a salvage yard, he had a Coupe GT with the analog trip meter dash in it. Don't know if it is still there or not, you can call him at 717-266-6666 and ask for Alan (he's not there Mondays though, due to the salvage sale).

Either the the entire unit or the computer part that runs the display.. Im willing to pay a reasonable price for this..

My question is, is there a seperate box or computer that runs the digital trip thing? I have a dash that I bought for the speedometer but it had that digital clock so I just swapped out the speedometer and kept my analog clock. So I have a digital clock/tripmeter with a bad speedometer.
