Replaced all filters, did oil change and coolant flush. Still have to purge the brake fluid and replace (Not looking forward to that!). Clutch cable was stretched and as such would fight me going into gear so took care of that too. So far so good.

Wow Bob. What precautions did you take to store the car for twelve years? The car's beautiful.

My GT's an '85 that I've owned for the past 12 years, and has close to 200k on it. Doesn't die. Cheaper to fix than buy new and it isn't worth anything so it's not worth selling.....

It's interesting the differences that the '84 has to the '85 under the hood.

That, and a hydraulic clutch!

While storing the vehicle for long periods during that time I raised the vehicle onto jack stands so as not flat spot tires. Additionally my concern was moisture. The car was stored in an old farm garage and while I was not too worried about freezing temps the garage was damp. So I covered brakes with plastic bags, plugged up exhaust outlet, lined engine compartment with old blankets, and used containers of damp rid in the interior so it would not get musty. Oh yeah, kept the fuel tank full so moisture could not form. Of course disconnect and/or remove battery.

Nice! Are you going to keep it stock?
