Have an early '84 CGT, manufacture date is 11/83. Where can I find the engine code on this vehicle?

The engine number is stamped into the block on the driver's side on a flat raised area just below the cylinder head. I think it's in about the center of the block. you'll probably have to clean some gunk off to read it.
