Alright, I need some help. The illumination for the dash is quite bleak, but i cant seem to find any bulbs higher than 12 volts that fit into the connectors. Any help here? Any info is appreciated!

All automotive electrical systems are 12 volts, so you won't find anything higher, because that will fry your electrical system(like the 4000's need any help). What you need is higher wattage bulbs, which should be more readily available at any parts store.

You might need to replace the actual dimmer, since the power is routed through it and the dimmer can cause the bulbs to loose power

Hope this helps

Hmm...I seem to have taken Ken's advice, I did find a set of 14Volt bulbs, they will fit. But, do I risk any electrical problems? I will fiddle with the dimmer switch, I do have an extra one, so I'll try that first. But, would the 14V bulbs do any harm?

DC electricity does have linear parameters, e.g. a 12Watt bulb draws twice as much current as a 6Watt bulb. For a 12Volt system a 12Watt bulb draws 1 amp of current and a 6Watt bulb draws 2amps of current.

You need to tell use what the old wattage bulbs were/are if possible before we can make a guess as to what kind of damage, if any, a higher wattage (brighter) bulb may cause.
