I know some people have done 11" brakes (similar to those on a Corrado G60) on the 4000. What calipers do you use, where do they come from, and where do you get 11" rotors that accomdate the larger Audi 14mm wheel bolts?

Thanks

<center><img src="http://home.ec.rr.com/miktip/wilwood3.jpg"></center><p>These are Brembo 11" or 280mm disks. Originally for an Audi 100 or 200.

The OEM "G60's" which are standard on the 90-91 Coupe Quattro and 1993-95 Audi 90 are 276mm or 4mm
shy of 11". The G60's "bolt-on" to your 4000, however longer brake lines are needed to make them work.

BLAU once sold the G60 Kit...........<ul><li><a href="http://www.audiquattroparts.com/calipers.htm">http://www.audiquattroparts.com/calipers.htm</a</li></ul>

You would have to get a pair of strut housings from an 80 or 90 model.

Also, the correct rotors is a mistery. I'm doing this mod, and at one time I had 4 sets of rotors at my home(Audi 20V Coupe, 90 20v Q 276mm, 90 256mm, CGT). The tophat didn't work with any of these.

I end up using the 276mm from the 90 20v Q, for economical reason, put steel spacers between the caliper brackets and the strut housing, and used slightly longer 10.9 grade bolts with a heavy duty locking washers(used in offshore drilling). You also need longe brake lines, mine are 16" long.
