Turns out those 2 switches just needed to be replaced, go figure, you guys were right!

drilled small holes in the side and tried to clean it out w/ TV tuner spray. NADA. Guess I'll be buying a new one as well.

Yeah, your best bet is just to replace them, luckily I had a set!
