The add reads:
"I am forced to sell my tresser. If you know Audi's you know what it is. You will never pass another on the road. The car has 180K miles and has been garaged for almost a year now. Too rare to be a daily driver, and too low to drive in the snow. The car is not mint, but is running perfect and looks very good. Everything works. Blausport cam and new lifters installed a week ago. Just e-mail for the list of repairs/upgrades. TO EVERYONE THAT E-MAILED ME TO SEE THE CAR, SORRY FOR NOT BEING ABLE TO SHOW IT, BUT I CAN NOW, STARTING MAY 1ST. AND I TOTALLED IT MAY 18TH. I AM SORRY..."<ul><li><a href="http://www.audifans.com/marketplace/view.php?table=cars&datestamp=20010615051250">http://www.audifans.com/marketplace/view.php?table=cars&datestamp=20010615051250</a</li></ul>

Obviously, it's the car in the pic, but what's so all-fired special about it, aside from the kit?

He also was one onf the brain trust who pioneered Audi's start Rally racing. He headed Audi's Sport division, and was burned pretty bad at one of the Rally's. He later became an Audi Tuner and consultant.

You do not see one very often. I've only seen one once. It was a 5000 super Tresser in Cleveland, OH. Stopped and talked to the owner and he was clueless about what he had...
The 5000 Tresser was kinda of questionable as far as looks go. You either liked it or hated it. The 4000 on the other hand was awesome!
To see some Tresser cars go to the links page and in the enthusiasts section click on Audistory...
