i got the mixture going pretty good now, i'm not sure what it's on exactly since it fluxuated around from 45-55 so i figured i was in the general area, the exhaust coming out now is no where near as much as before and it starts up now without using the gas. gas use is lower then it was and black smoke doesnt shoot out when i start it.

would be perfect except for a new problem its not bad but id like to get it right, when i shut off the car it stutters like its still trying to stay alive, is that called fueling? i heard of it before but don't remember the term used to describe it.

took a nice long drive and i guess the computer adjusted its self.

Sounds like it was running WAY rich, but don't worry about the fluctuation, it'll do that. CIS isn't the most precise fuel injection around. Sounds like you got it as good as it can be gotten. As for the dieseling(running after cut-off), you may want to check your timing, but if it's cleared up, I wouldn' worry too much about it.

In this case, it was probably the former, which was cured after the car got used to running with the correct fueling :P
