I am developing an html "book" about the Audi UrS4 and S6 (1992-97) and want to start with the Munga and then the Iltis as the idea behind the quattro system. Can anyone here point me to some good websites for Munga and Iltis info (including photos)?

TIA

I'd checked one out in Edmonton a few months ago, but am holding out for a diesel instead of gas. (forgot to take cam when I'd gone though, d'oh)

http://vancouver.craigslist.org/search/car?query=iltis</a

Sorry I can't be more help.

Perhaps call David Marshall from Iltis.ca/FastForward.ca, maybe he'll have some scans or old mags.

If you happen to find any info credited to any certain issue or dates, let me know to narrow down search as I also have some older '80's auto mags from the UK.

Iltis Jeep Ex-Military 1.7 L gas engine, Volkswagen power train assembled by Bombardier, 4wd with a super low & option to lock differential and engage 4wd drive from the drivers seat. Can be driven on highway or off road, also either fully enclosed or remove top and or doors. 4 seats with seatbelts roll cage & heater. Specified to climb 60-degree inclines and carry an 1100 lb cargo payload plus passengers. Has a pintle hitch or can be easily be converted to a ball type hitch. This is a fun bush vehicle for any extreme off road enthusiast, hunter or for joy riding on the street or trails with the family. I have two of these Jeeps, one is presently street legal, and the other just needs an out of province inspection $5000 & $3800 respectively.
