I just got my car back from its 5000M service. Had a long chat with the service manager about chips. Suprisingly he said that they didn't care. I could chip my car if i wanted to and they would still honor the warranty. He even said that he would rather do the ECU swap.. just to make sure it was done right. They are more concerned about after market stereos than chips.


One thing I did notice is that they used 5W-30 synthetic for the oil change. I live in Florida, where, obviously, it pretty hot all the time. Is this ok or should they have used 10W-30?
