Does anybody know if the starter motor or ABS computer on a 1991 200tq is the same on a 1991 200tq20v? I have the latter, and have found a relatively inexpensive 200tq that might make a good parts car.

Starters should interchange.

ABS computers MAY differ. ETKA doesn't list it as different for the different models, but the sensors are different part number. That's probably related to different strut housings rather than different functions, though.

Interesting. I have the ABS computer off of a 5000 from '86 lying around. I know that it is different, so haven't done anything with it.

Should I snag this car? $1700, in good condition I believe. One 'rear window switch' doesn't work, and it needs a new windshield. I'm guessing by window switch he meant one of the windows doesn't go up or down. =\

What is this ETKA of which you speak?

Lol wiki had an entry for ETKA. This sounds useful, I've wondered about other parts being exchangeable.

For $1700 you should be getting way more than a parts car. I'd drop $500 on a parts car- Maybe. I guess it depends what you really need. I dont think you have enough interchangeable stuff, especially engine wise to make it worthwhile

Just my 2 cents.

There's an on-line ETKA at THIS WEBSITE.

I agree about the $1700 being way too much to spend on a parts car unless you already have a use for almost everything on it. If it's a runner with just a couple window switch failures, it might be worth $1700 as a backup vehicle.
