View Full Version : Is it true that A4 Quattro uses carbon fibre drive shaft? KC 10-28-1999, 11:28 AM nt Cris 10-28-1999, 11:44 AM DaveL 10-28-1999, 11:54 AM J. J. Shaw 10-28-1999, 01:21 PM My coupe quattro had a carbon fiber driive shaft also. I read this was for crash protection. The carbon fiber would shatter instead going up through the floorboard of the car like a steel shaft. Audiboy 10-28-1999, 01:40 PM DaveL 10-28-1999, 02:49 PM Quite low as you can see in the link. I'm running the OEM Sport now.

My Car

Audiboy 10-28-1999, 05:27 PM DaveL 10-28-1999, 05:40 PM I bottomed out way too often Already sold the Eibach/Koni setup to Cris and it looks pretty damn good on his car too!

Cris' Car

CraigW 10-28-1999, 05:47 PM Speaking of carbon fiber, my wife is a quality assurance engineer with the largest carbon fiber manufacturer in the world (they make it primarily to sell to Boeing for the 777), and she saw pictures of an Audi with carbon fiber dash trim, and thought it was cool. I told her to try and find out if her company makes it and smuggle me some... He he he... Can a person buy the carbon fiber dash trim kit somewhere? |
