well...in my case i woke up this morning to a pretty sight of my 93' V8Q all incrusted in a thin frost...nice...well untill i desided to warm her up and ..Thump thupm therrrrrump thump thup....sounded like an old english thumper (term for a single cylinder motorbike)...damm iv had this happen a few times befor just never this bad.....so i poped the hood to a wounderful sound of ticking and a cute show of arching electisity...iv found my problem thanks to my frosted motor...yep even the motor had a pretty frost on it. So it seem my drivers side coil was the culprit...so the big question do i just spray it all down with dry wire or replace?.....nothing seems worn out like im use to on coils so this is new to me = )
Caps are all in good shape ..one small cap was half off but didnt matter it still arched.

On a real positive note i put my summer wheels on!!!!!! wahoooooooooo...took them damm ugly tank tires off and put on the 18" RS4 gunmetal rims...man do they change the look .

(I looked in your pictureposter)

I'd love 18s on mine. What suspension, brakes, and spacers (if any) are you running with the 18s?

Also, what kind of foglights are you running (on the V8)?

Thanks

YEP>>>LOL
well kinda, iv never had a problem with "Modern coils" the old one were easy to diagnos, and when bad they are bad,
But these on the audi well can i call them "solid state" coils? the problem i described didnt go away after i fixed the lose connection but for two days we have had frost and the symoptoms havent reshowed.

But because i have no idea how old they are im planning to change them.......is it possible they are original? just under 190k
iv changed the plugs and wires twice in 80k miles, so she probly could use some TLC.
