My V8 low oil pressure light is coming on, after the car warms up. Oil gauge is reading 5 bar while driving and 3.5 - 4 while idling. Oil level is ok. Bad sensor? Car seem to be driving alright. Ideas to problem? Thanks.

Remember I had to swap out clusters cause of the coolant gauge being pegged.
But I think I think it's the cluster board.

Does it come from a sensor other than the pressure gauge?
Also, yesterday, while the light was blinking on the computer, as I came to a stop sign, I heard a sound like a pump, or something clearing its' throat. After that noise, that lasted a few seconds subsided, the light went out and styed out for 5 or 10 minutes before coming back on. Thoughts?

One for the pressure gauge, one for the pressure light, one for the temperature. All are generally in the same area. The two you can see from under the car are pressure sensors. The gauge sensor is the big "hot air balloon" shaped one while the skinnier one is for the pressure light.

So you changed the trip computer as well?

The problem is either....the 1 pin low oil pressure chim....or the IC board.
I would take a wild quess that it's the 1 pin switch. $5.00 at any vendor...5 minutes to change.

Now where is the 1 pin switch? Part #?
Thanks.

A good flashlight should find it for you. Find a picture of a new one and you'll know what to look for.
