The Y2K Ebony Leather interior is actually an Anthracite color (very dark gray). The dealer told me this before I bought it, and since I purchased it sight unseen, I had no idea what to expect. It is definitely not a "true" black by any means, and it is a nubby leather (no sliding on this!). I don't know if the leatherette follows this color pattern, but the dealer picked me up in a black/black S4, and it was a definite black color.

I think this color is great. Nice contrast to the Silver or any color for that matter. I'm glad I got this combination. Very sporty looking.

Actually, when I was picking up the car, they had a TT with a true two tone gray interior, with dark gray dashboard that looked incredible. I think they should have this color combination for the A4. It would look great!

Oh, by the way, I spoke to the service guy this morning about the side mirrors and rear defroster, and he said that the rear defroster is now hooked up to the heating element for the side mirrors. He said it would get hotter as the temperature gets colder. I went out at lunch and tried it, and sure enough, the mirrors got slightly warm, as it is about 65 degrees here now. I think maybe Audi got it right this time!
