Is there any way to test if a fuel pressure regulator is a-ok?

On the same subject, does anyone know if after market fuel pressure regulators work with an audi V8?

Thanks.

that lets gasoline return to the tank. Sort of like pinching off a balloon. Easing off your pinching of the base lets air out of the balloon, thus lowering the total pressure.

You can test them if you can test fuel pressure on the vehicle, but the V8 does not have a readily accessible port.

So.. yeah, what Scott said, no.

From what I've heard, though, is that if you do not know when the last time the FPR was changed (if ever), then changing it is considered excellent preventive maintanence.
