View Full Version : Audi A4 vs. BMW 3xx Brochures (Not the CAR this time)...Audi loses on this one...

I got a 1999 Audi A4 brochure from the dealer when we bought the car. Last week I had a chance to stop by a local BMW dealer and tried (very very hard) to get a BMW 323/328 sedan or coupe brochure.

Not to my surprise at all, they were not willing to give out the brochures if you don't show any interest in buying the BMW's. (What's with the BMW attitude anyways...)

Luckily I found a "BMW 3 Series Sedan for 2000" outside the restroom inside the showroom so I grabbed it.

Then I compared the 99 Audi A4 brochure with the new 3 series brochure and found that the BMW brochure has a lot more pictures, details, and description of various features on the car. It also includes a mini 11-page Technical Guide to 3 Series.

This new 3-Series brochure makes the Audi A4 brochure look like a kindergarden child's picture book.

I wonder if Audi will improve on the design and the contents of the brochure for 2000 and beyond?

they much use the same amount of budget for R&D for the brochure designing and graphics. All the pictures, technology flip-outs and technical guide on COMRAD are impressive.
I never have any new 3-Series brochure cause they don't give me one; however, I have some 97 older BMW brochures that didn't looked impressive either (feel like GM ones).
Audi of America/Canada needs to take a look at how Mercedes produce their brochures, even the base C-Class has excellent photos and covering. Audi's brochures look like joke compares with Mercedes, except you have European Audi models brochures just like me.

Just for the info, even if it does lead off topic. The nicest brochures I have recieved were from Range Rover. It's been a while, but it seemed to read like a book/magazine and was quite enjoyable. Made me want one for a while, then I realized I could handle having a truck for more than ten minutes.
