Hi i have an 87 5000qt that im rebuilding the engine on so far i know the exuast manifold is cracked turbo seals are out, and belive that the head is cracked between the valves. i was looking for ideas on cheaper ways to find a new/used manifold, turbo and head any help would be appreciated.

The best place to look is here, motorgeek, or audifans. Check for cars getting parted. I'd seen an intake and exhaust manifold and ahead go all together for 80 bucks. I was going to get it myself, just can't make it to canada :-) also, look at getting a rebuilt turbo, or rebuild it yourself. also, k24's are a decent swap, and an upgrade is available to the k26 also. gl

I'm located in winona mn, the se corner of mn. im also all about doing things myself and learning new stuff, so your coment on rebuilding the turbo myself intrests me. do you know were to look for more info on that. i have seen that jtm site once lots of good info there i will start my search there. If anyone reading along has a good or rebuildible head for sale in the midwest please get ahold of me. Thanks for the replys and any future ones.
