Ummmmmmm, where is it aside from the rear.....lol Kneale Brownson 08-06-2006, 06:15 AM Rear fog light on most Audis is an extra bulb or filament in the tail light that gets switched on. Usually on the driver side. punkbomb138 08-06-2006, 07:38 AM so if maybe one of those is laying around. if not i guess ill have to change them completely over the plastic.i found some for 100 bucks. heres the link but i wanted to see if any glass ones were on here first.<ul><li><a href="http://oem.thepartsbin.com/parts/thepartsbin/wizard.jsp?year=1987&make=AU&model=5000-QT-001&category=All&part=Fog%20Light%20Kit&dp=false">http://oem.thepartsbin.com/parts/thepartsbin/wizard.jsp?year=1987&make= audi-bahston 08-06-2006, 09:29 AM This has baffeled me for a while. I finally had it explained to me the other day. The rear fog switch in the console with defrost, seat heater controls, etc. lights up one of the bulbs in the tail light on the drivers side brighter than the rest so the cars behind you can see the ass end of your car in thick fog. Why don't they brighten both you ask, cause I did... so that it does not look like you're hitting the brakes. I though this was a pretty cool idea/feature to add to our cars. Nothing was spared when they were engineering these things. -Kev Kneale Brownson 08-06-2006, 12:39 PM I think some European countries REQUIRE a single rear foglight. Couple old Mercedes I've had came with a little red light mounted above the rear bumper. I think those were prepared for delivery in Germany. A made-for-USA Mercedes I had in the middle 1960s didn't have it. JDeL 08-06-2006, 03:37 PM now to wait fer night fall and see what I can see....... S4for73 08-06-2006, 04:48 PM In the midwest I have driven behind many cars in a blinding snowstorm. They have had their emergency blinkers on and one can not tell if they are standing still or just moving slowly. What a PIA. The europeans are WAY ahead of us. |
