In my city half of the cars are Japanese, half of those are Hondas, and there are more civics than any other car.
Thats the main reason why I am looking into the A4 1.8TQ. Performance is a big issue with me, I would like to know how well it performs against other cars of the same class/size. I didnt see any compariston charts (maybe Im not looking hard enough) so I was hoping one of you A4 1.8TQ owners could give me some info. Im not looking for McLaren F1 performance but rather just a car that can hold its own.

I was looking for something a bit deeper, but ok.

Well, if you're looking for a car to race from stoplight to stoplight, the A4 probably isn't the right car for this (as many have stated on this forum). You can make a Civic or Teg pretty darn fast for a lot less money than an A4...

Have a look in www.carpoint.com

You can select your choice of new car then do a comparison against any other car, plus get reviews on either car.

There is also carpoint.com in other countries if your not a USA based Audiphile like me (eg.AU)

youre pushing ~215horses and approx sub 6.5 0-60 times vs 8+ seconds stock(manual tranny). for about $800-$1000 in mods youre faster than the porsche boxster(non s). not bad for an awd vehicle.

you really can't compare the a4 to civics or integras .. different class. more in line to the 3series and s40's of the world.

it's a great car and you won't regret the purchase.
