I was leaving the Toot 'n Totem (I swear I am not making that name up, its a local chain of convenience stores) and when I was changing from reverse after backing up (and coming to a stop)I apparently didn't firmly plant the shifter in the 1st gear slot. When I began to let off the clutch it popped out of gear and made a loud pop/clunk sound. Needless to say I instantly had imgages of a crunched tranny and a tow truck but it easily went back into gear and work flawlessly in all gears on the way back home. I imagine I might have shaved some of the gear but I am admittedly ignorant about what could have happened inside the tranny. What should I watch for or should I not be overly concerned? Any input would be appreciated.
