I am new to this upgrading and chip tuning stuffs, but somehow catching on to this upgrading
fever after visiting Sean's A4 site. I have a 98.5 2.8 A4 MS. I decided against the Quattro because most of my driving are here in Houston and we rarely have snow. Anyway, I have this upgrade bug but I am also on budget so I am soliciting your recommendations. I was thinking about that PES turbocharger for the 2.8, but almost felll out of my chair because of the
price ~$5000, wow, but think of it 289HP on a 2.8. My wish list contains the Wett chip, some cat back exhaust system, new front grill (A!Avant).

Don't fall for the hype, save yourself $500 and get the Neuspeed chip for $139, you're not going to see enough difference between chip vendors to justify paying top dollar.
Upgraded to 17" wheels w/ Toyo Proxes T1 Plus, a great help to this car. Wett chip, which I suggest getting if you like to heel & toe going into turns. The improved thottle response has eased this tremendously. I've also got the old stock wheels wearing BFG R1's for when I run on the track. The level of traction they provide is nearing insane.
If your budget is 1k-2k, I suggest getting new wheels/tires, selling off the old ones, and if you have money left, get the Wett chip.
98.5 Wett RamAir'ed Santorin Blue 2.8QMS

Remember Chris: spending $1.5k-2.0k to juice your
A4 without knowing how best to use the car is like
you and your buddies back in high school comparing
the size of your d--ks before anyone has gotten
laid.

Agree-my $139 chip from Neuspeed has really transformed my 98-30v ! Glad I waited.
Bad enough someone else was already "Jeff". For that reason, I decided to go w/"JT". Lately, however, I've been seeing posts by you. Can you please choose a different name? Thanks!
JT 99' 1.8Tqms
